Fatra's Accelerated Aging Laboratories have been expanded by the newly installed Q-SUN Xe-2HSE equipment, which will enable the continued testing of the weather resistance of Fatra products according to globally recognised standards.
Weather resistance is one of the important parameters for many products for exterior applications, whether they are technical or construction products or consumer goods. Temperature, sunlight, air humidity, rain have a major influence on the appearance, surface quality, colour and physical mechanical properties of products placed outdoors.
The device simulates damage caused by the full spectrum of sunlight as well as rain. In a few days or weeks, the Q-SUN Xe-2 tester will cause damage similar to that which would occur under real conditions only after months.
